Description
Shea butter is obtained by cold-pressing the nuts of Vitellaria paradoxa, an African plant also known as the "Tree of Health." Shea butter is very versatile and can be used to moisturize the skin and increase its elasticity. Applied to the face, it helps prevent the appearance of expression lines; used on the body, it improves poor circulation. Furthermore, it has healing and soothing properties, making it indispensable for minor burns, bruises, and joint and muscle pain. During pregnancy, it helps prevent and reduce stretch marks on the abdomen and breasts, and treats and soothes cracked nipples during breastfeeding.
